At the age I started doing experimental painting, I was struggling with self investigation. I was eager to know what was awaiting me there, beyond veil of complete darkness. In facing obstacles from surrounding and human relationships my soul had started seeing a different aspect of life. Then, I finally succeed in converting my thoughts into painting.
In the year 2012 I watched a film named Frida Kahlo based on the biography of a Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. This artist has driven my thoughts from then. I came to know how flawlessly our surroundings, stories and experiences can be depicted. I’ve done a series work named Self analysis of Contemporary women which is all about my own point of view about contemporary women’s life. I think at first I was not so sure about creating a piece of art rather I was trying to put my personal life living process on canvas. This series has been generated naturally as a consequences and I made each work of this series as a piece of my personal experiences or can say personal record.

On the assumption that I was on this kind of state of mind I represented the self series wrapped in the veil of society’s pressure and also as a proof of my existence from different perspective.
It’s a metaphorical representation of a figurative ideology of women’s oppression.
Painting represents the journey of my life. Inspired by Frida Kahlo, each painting creates an iridescent sense of imagery through distinct colors. A different perspective may interpret it as a paradigm of feminism yet each painting has a connotation of how violence is subjected on women in different stages of society. Though most painting are significant to my own attributes and characteristics, once focused on a broader mind scale, it signifies a much greater thought where feminism is represented through me. A common person, an oppressed person, a misunderstood person yet an eminent artist and these paintings bring out the depth of each situation that female go through. It’s a metaphorical representation of a figurative ideology of women’s oppression.

After my child birth I had to deal with postpartum depression or blue period. As it includes dramatic drop in hormones in our body, so I went through ups and downs. In my new series of works name Post-partum I choose to express my journey as being a mother. It is not to know only about the side of happiness as being a mother but also the opposite part of not being okay.

In my painting I mostly use fluorescent bright colors like pink and golden to give it a popular look. Sometimes I use symbols such as floral pattern to express religious aspects metaphorically. My works explore images indicative of contemporary journey of life. In these works, I am questioning about the value of being a women in these era and society I am living in. At the same time I am trying to show audiences the beauty, the humor and tragedy that is in us.
